Megan wears many hats as she is a Senior Product Development Engineer as well as the Site Manager for our design center in Athlone. In late 2022, Megan relocated from North Carolina to Ireland to further establish Gilero’s presence in the European medtech market and grow our new Irish team. She primarily works as a project manager planning activities, coordinating with vendors, and developing DV&V test methods. She has extensive experience in project management of projects in all phases from concept development, through the FDA 510(k) approval process, and onto commercial production. Prior to Gilero, she worked for a global consulting firm, where she worked primarily with pharmaceutical customers on a wide range of products from manufacturing efficiency projects to data integrity compliance, and has been in the biomedical space since 2017. Since joining Gilero in 2019, she has worked on projects in all phases and mentored engineers to build their product development skillsets. Megan has her Bachelor of Science in Biomedical and Health Sciences Engineering from the joint program at UNC and NC State program, as well as her Masters of Science in Mechanical Engineering from NC State. She has many notable achievements, such as taking two products through the entire development process, getting FDA clearance, and transferring the products to manufacturing in our Pittsboro plant. She received the Gilero Efficiency Core Value award in 2020, and the Gilero Open Communication Core Value award in 2021. Megan specializes in project management, technical documentation, DV&V testing, and manufacturing transfer. Outside of work and since moving to Ireland, Megan enjoys traveling with her husband, hiking, and trying new hobbies such as golf.
